Most families begin the New Year with some sort of organization of 'something'.  If your something is budget and getting on track with credit you can get a good start by going to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp and getting a free credit report from all 3 agencies.  I use this site because it is the only one the federal government backs up.  It really is totally free.
